Summer 2008 Game Challenge

Make Your Own RPG - We're Here to Help!

Kyoo no tema wa kore desu:*
"Write your game for an audience that's never played a role playing game before."
And the easiest way to do that is to just tell us how to play your game. Easier said than done?

This old opinion piece by John Harper is partially responsibly for this Ingredient, but The Princess Game is my main inspiration. Jake Richmond's review describes some of the techniques the author uses.

*Sorry guys, it's what the Chairman said on Iron Chef. Post Title has been changed to something more recognizable

I just re-wrote a bunch of copy on the front page and in the forums. To answer both of your questions, every participant is encouraged to use the Secret ingredient as well as three others chosen from the list of suggestions.

In other words, is the only required element of this game that we write it for someone who has never played a roleplaying game before?

Or do we have to pick some of the ingredients from the suggestions box to add in as well?

Is this the actual, factual secret ingredient? And is there really only one instead of "pick X of Y ingredients"?
